Civic Hackathons are events that spark civic engagement, bring together software designers, developers, and community organizers to solve their communities’ needs and show what’s possible using technology.

How It Works

A three day event where we invite people from community, developers and subject specialists to identify civic issues that can be solved through technology.

Create Teams

People are divided into teams. Each team has at least 2 developers and 1 community member/ subject specialist. Code for Pakistan mentors help every team; get set go.

Design Prototype

Each team comes up with a prototype of their idea and present it to the judges and audience. They watch these presentations and vote for the best ideas in different categories.

Winners Announcement

On the final day of hackathon the winning ideas are announced during a prize distribution ceremony and projects are taken up for scale.
