KP Government Innovation Fellowship Program

The KP Government Innovation Fellowship Program is a six-month program run by Code for Pakistan, in partnership with the KP IT Board and the World Bank. During the course of the Fellowship, teams of young developers and designers collaborate with local government departments to build digital services, software, and civic applications, inspire citizen engagement, improve existing government systems, and guide the government on how to innovate in public services following a user-centered approach.

These solutions improve citizen-facing services in a variety of public domains, such as healthcare, crime, disaster management, citizen engagement, transportation, traffic, education, etc.

CIVIC HACKATHONS

Civic Hackathons are events that spark civic engagement, bringing together software designers, developers, and community organizers to solve their communities’ needs, and show what’s possible using technology.

Through the creation of open source technology to address civic needs, we aim to transform civic life by increasing civic engagement, encouraging the opening of government data, and supporting innovation in the public domain.

Our Labs meet regularly to collaborate with local stakeholders (including Government, partner Non-profit Organizations, and Media Organizations) on projects that focus on how to use 21st century web and data tools to improve civic interfaces.
